Looks like Brett Farve is retiring again! Or not...Who knows? Maybe third time is a charm?
It was reported from an AP source that Brett Farve told the Vikings that he would not return to the Vikings this season because his injured left ankle is not responding as well to surgery and rehabilitation as he had hoped. However, that could all change an a couple minutes..ok maybe I'll give it a few weeks. Could Farve REALLY not play this year? He has waffled so many times in the past couple year nobody knows what he is going to do. He could decide in a few weeks that his ankle is getting much better than he originally thought and want to come back to the team. But would the Vikings let Farve come back to the team after saying he wouldn't? The answer is yes, they need a QB and Brett Farve would be the optimum choice.
Now, I didn't Brett Farve in his "golden days" but I do know that he was a pretty good QB. I know he played for the Packers for 16 seasons then stabbed them in the back and went their rivals, the Vikings after saying he was going to retire. What class. I also witnessed him leading the Vikings into the playoffs last year but didn't make it all the way as everyone had hoped. I was one who believed he would come back just because he apparently can't stay away from football and didn't accomplish what he wanted to do last year. Most people my age, (teens), see Brett Farve is the guy who flip-flops and flip-flops over and over again. Maybe if he actually keeps he word and doesn't come back this season people will seee him differently. Maybe they will appreciated his legacy more? No...by going to the Vikings he basically just ruined it in my opinion but who am I to judge? I only know one side of Brett, the 40 year old one who loves to retire then suddenly cause choas in the media world by coming back.
